The agreement was signed by: the mayor of Rivera, Prof. Tabaré Viera; the vice president of Antel, Dr. Simón Erlichman; the secretary general of AHCIET, Francisco Gómez Alanillo; the undersecretary of the Ministry of National Defense, Dr. Roberto Yavarone; the president of URSEC, Dr. Fernando Pérez Tabó; and the dean of Academic Development at Universidad ORT Uruguay, Eng. Julio Fernández.
The agreement aims to develop an e-government project at the municipal level, promoting the development of the global information society in Uruguay, particularly the Rivera Digital project.
A project aimed at providing the residents of Rivera with universal access to new information technologies.
