For the first time, a Uruguayan is among the finalists for this award.

Pablo Santiago Pereira, a graduate of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the School of Management and Social Sciences, is a finalist for the 2019 AMBA Entrepreneurial Venture Award (Private Sector) for his startup, Armor Bionics.

Each year, the international accrediting body AMBA recognizes excellence and leadership in business education among its accredited schools, as well as their students and graduates.

One of the most prestigious awards at the ceremony is the MBA Entrepreneurial Venture Award, created by AMBA to encourage and promote entrepreneurship among students at top business schools.

Pereira will travel to London for the awards ceremony, which will take place on February 1, 2019, where this prestigious award will be presented.

Armor Bionics, a startup founded by Pereira and Bruno Demuro, streamlines surgical planning by providing 3D physical models of patients' anatomical conditions.
