The senior in theBachelor’s program in Animation and Video Games explained that the idea came to him during his sophomore year, specifically in the Production 1 course, where he had to create an animation that served as a “trailer or concept art” for what the game would eventually become.

“I presented the game together with Luis Ignacio Perdomo, with whom I’ve been working to make it compatible with Android and iOS mobile platforms. We’ve created several prototypes, which we’ve gradually discarded as part of the process, to refine it,” Rossi said.

Speaking about *Night Light*, he explained that it’s about a boy traveling by car with his parents: “They’re arguing, and the boy wants to escape reality, so he looks out the window and sees a field where he begins to imagine his fears, and monsters start to appear, which he destroys with the lights from the houses.”

He said that over the past two years he was able to put into practice all the technical and production skills he acquired in college, which enabled him to present a “well-rounded and comprehensive” project and thus earn that distinction—an achievement that has motivated him to launch, together with Perdomo, a video game company that is currently being supported by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

The Ministry of Education and Culture's Competitive Grants for Culture, in the Animation and Video Games category, awarded Rossi approximately $10,000 to develop the project.
