Every year, Beta Testing gives students the opportunity to present their in-development projects to friends, family, and the general public. During the event, attendees test the video games and provide feedback through a questionnaire designed by the students themselves, which helps them improve their projects.
On this occasion, 10 video games were presented, developed by students in the courses " Production 3 " and " Final Integrative Project "—both part of the Bachelor’s Degree in Animation and Video Games in the School of Design—along with the courses " Video Game Development 1 " and " Final Project" from the Bachelor’s Degree in Systems and Systems Engineering in the School of Engineering.
This year's games spanned a wide range of genres: platformers, horror, visual novels, 3D graphic adventures, retro-style games, and platform games, among others.
About 50 students took part in the event, which was attended by family members, friends, staff, and officials from the institution.

For students working on their final-year projects, the event served as a key milestone for testing their video games and making improvements before the final submission in February.
Students from both schools worked in interdisciplinary teams:
“They develop video games covering all areas: art, game design, programming, and sound. It all starts with brainstorming the initial idea and culminates in the creation of a prototype that is displayed at the exhibition,” explained Carolina Zunino, M.A., an instructor in the Bachelor’s Degree Program in Animation and Video Games.
During the event, both amateurs and industry professionals tried out the video games and provided feedback:
This is a reason to be proud, as these courses involve a heavy workload.
For the first time, an internal awards ceremony was held to recognize games that received special mentions in various categories. For the occasion, 3D-printed trophies were designed and created.
