IT professionals with a high level of English earn between 15% and 25% more than those who do not speak the language.

While IT professionals earn salaries that exceed the average for other professionals, those with a high level of English proficiency or who are bilingual can earn salaries that are 15 to 25 percent higher than those who do not have a good command of the language.

Despite this advantage, a study conducted by Kibernum, a Chilean company specializing in IT staffing, software development services, BPO, and training, revealed that92%of executives who hire IT professionals believe that recent graduates in technology and computer science have a low level of English proficiency.
