Biotechnology professor wins award at a conference in Mexico

Dr. Ángela Cabezas, a faculty member in the Biotechnology Department of the School of Engineering, received the “Professor Carlos Casas-Campillo” Award for Best Oral Presentation.

Award for Best Teaching Presentation in BiotechnologyDr. Ángela Cabezas, a faculty member in the Biotechnology Department of the School of Engineering, received the “Professor Carlos Casas-Campillo” Award for Best Oral Presentation.

The award was given for the presentation of his paper titled “Microbial Community Analysis of a Full-Scale Winery Wastewater Treatment System.”

The presentation took place during the “4th International Symposium on Environmental Biotechnology and Engineering (ISEBE4),” which was held in Mexico City from September 9 to 12, 2014.
