Book Presentation: *Lying Machines* by the Academic Coordinator of the Journalism Program

The text offers an analysis of the new trends in communication that are emerging amid the constant changes in today's society.

The School of Communication and Design hosted a book presentation for *Máquinas de mentir* by Daniel Mazzone, M.A., professor of Digital Journalism and academic coordinator of Journalism and Digital Content. Dr. Roberto Igarza, a professor at the National University of Rosario who also directs the Ubiquitous Education Research Program, served as a speaker.

The author holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of San Andrés in Buenos Aires. He is an editor for various Uruguayan print media outlets, has published books of essays and research, and has authored academic articles in his field for university journals in the region. His latest book is titled*Huffington Post vs. New York Times: What Is Online Journalism?* (2012).

Igarza is a graduate of the École d’Ingénieurs de Lausanne and holds a Ph.D. in Social Communication from Austral University. He is a member of the National Academy of Education, where he chairs the Education and Media Commission. He teaches graduate-level courses at the University of Buenos Aires, the National University of La Matanza, and the National University of Rosario.

The book launch took place on November 19, 2018, in the faculty auditorium.
