In March, the writer was interviewed by Romanian state television and radio; he presented the book at Laude Reut, a leading school in Bucharest, at the Humanitas bookstore—the largest in the Romanian capital—and at the Uruguay School in that country.
These two major educational institutions will incorporate the novel into their curriculum as part of their Holocaust education.

The Girl Who Watched the Trains Leave tells four stories, one of which is about the life of Charlotte, an eight-year-old Belgian girl who flees from the Nazis with her family and goes through many trials and tribulations. Charlotte de Grünberg is the president of Universidad ORT Uruguay.
