Under the slogan “The journey has just begun,” the event brought together students and graduates of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Patio Carretas on August 2, with the aim of welcoming the class of 2018 and strengthening the professional community.
At that time, María Paulós, the MBA’s assistant coordinator, spoke about the program and noted that “our MBA is known for being a transformative experience, both professionally and personally.”
The coordinator also emphasized that “our goal is to improve students’ performance in every aspect; we want their time in the master’s program not only to provide them with valuable tools, managerial skills, and leadership abilities, but also to engage them in a community of people who share their interests and aspirations.”
The Icebreaker was launched in 2017 as an initiative of the MBA Alumni Advisory Council, composed of graduates from various cohorts who, for several years, have been developing an action plan to enhance the quality of the community through opportunities for connection and exchange. Guillermo Pons, an MBA graduate from 2006, noted that “together with the Council, we are working to ensure that graduates stay connected, interact with both newer and older generations, and find in the university a place for consultation and the creation of lifelong value.”
