On December 12, Pitches Day was held on the 40th floor of the World Trade Center. Members of the alumni community, faculty, business leaders, and investors heard the business plans presented by students in the Master of Business Administration (MBA)program and theEMBA (Executive MBA) blended-learning program.
Each team had five minutes for theirpitch to present their business idea, as well as the financial and commercial fundamentals.
Magalí Da Silva, the MBA program’s academic coordinator, stated that “powerful ideas emerge, and eventually some of them grow into actual businesses.” She added that, on this occasion, “business plans were developed for projects that are already underway,” and that the project leaders were present.
The business plan is the final step before earning the degree—whether an MBA or an EMBA—and involves defining a real-world business project, developing a strategy for its implementation, and conducting an economic, financial, and commercial feasibility analysis. Students must develop this project under the methodological guidance of experienced faculty members.
