Dear students, the International University Sports Federation (FISU), through the University Sports League, has sent us an invitation inviting Universidad ORT Uruguay a candidate to the League for a full scholarship to participate in the International Forum “FISU Volunteers Leaders Academy 2018,” to be held June 14–22 in Kazan, Russia, bringing together volunteer leaders from 170 FISU member federations.
Requirements:
- Be between the ages of 18 and 27 as of January 1, 2018
- Advanced English proficiency
- High level of academic achievement
- Experience volunteering at sporting events
- Commitment to actively participate in the University Sports League’s volunteer program
To select the candidate to be nominated by our university to the University Sports League, interested students must submit the following by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018:
1. A cover letter written by the applicant, outlining their background and briefly explaining why they wish to receive the scholarship.
2. Description of your volunteer experience in sports
3. Indicate your level of English proficiency.
Once the university has selected the student it will nominate, the student will complete a form provided by the FISU Volunteer Leaders Academy 2018, which will be submitted to the University Sports League. The League will review all the nominees submitted by the various affiliated educational institutions and decide who will represent the League at this event.
The candidate selected by the University Sports League will participate in the Forum with all expenses paid (travel, lodging, meals, health insurance, and educational program).
