Erienne Jackson, Ph.D., associate professor of Protein Technology in the School of Engineering, received the award for best oral presentation at the Third Latin American Symposium on Biocatalysis and Biotransformations for her presentation of her peer-reviewed paper “Crude glycerol transformation with immobilized G. oxydans in agar.”
The study was co-authored by Magdalena Ripoll, a graduate in Biotechnology Engineering, and Dr. Lorena Betancor, a research professor of Biotechnology at the faculty. The event took place in San Luis, Argentina, from November 27 to 30, 2018.
The article is related to the doctoral research he is conducting in the Protein Technology Group at our university, led by Dr. Betancor.
