Classes Suspended Due to COVID-19

In light of confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country, Universidad ORT Uruguay to suspend in-person classes through Friday, April 10.

This measure, which aims to help reduce the risk of the spread of infections, is being implemented as part of the measures taken by national authorities and is in line with the resolution of the Council of Rectors of Private Universities.

From Tuesday, March 17, through Friday, April 10, the following measures were implemented:

  • The university is open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • The administrative offices and student affairs offices are currently available only via email or phone.
  • The laboratories do not accept students. They operate behind closed doors.
  • The libraries are currently closed to the public. Inquiries can be made by phone or email. Items currently on loan will be automatically renewed until in-person classes resume.
  • Sports activities have been suspended.

These measures are subject to change depending on new developments regarding the spread of COVID-19 and directives from national and international authorities.
