September 10, 2009
On September 9, the lecture "Educational Simulators: Play and Learn," presented by Daniel Seixas, took place at the Centro Auditorium.

Seixas is the Head of Technology Solutions for the Education and Educational Innovation unit at Matchmind, Spain, an organization specializing in software development.

He is currently in Uruguay setting up a software development company specializing in the production of educational simulators.

During the event, the speaker discussed educational simulation, the different types of simulators and their development methodologies, as well as mobile learning and learning through video game platforms.

The integration of classroom instruction with distance learning, the blend of in-person and virtual learning, simulation, interaction, immersion, and augmented reality are some of the challenges that must be addressed in 21st-century education.

Systems engineers, scriptwriters, designers, psychologists, 2D and 3D animators, educators, video game designers, and communications specialists are just some of the professionals needed to develop new forms of learning.
