On March 15, 2018, at 7:30 p.m., the lecture "Latin America and the Holocaust: Migration Policy" was held in the Auditorium of the Pocitos Campus (2633 España Blvd.) and was delivered by Dr. Efraím Zadoff.
The speaker is a secular humanist rabbi certified by the International Institute for Secular Humanist Judaism – Tmura Israel. He holds a Ph.D. in History from Tel Aviv University and is a research fellow at the Arnold and Leona Finkler Institute of Holocaust Research at Bar-Ilan University. He is a member of the executive board of the Council of Secular Humanist Rabbis of Israel – Merjav. He is the editor of the Secular Judaism website – a humanist online community.
He is the author, editor, and translator of numerous books and academic articles on topics related to Jewish history. He served as editor and publisher of the Encyclopedia of the History and Culture of the Jewish People and of *Shoah: An Encyclopedia of the Holocaust*, and as editor of the *Encyclopedia of Ghettos in the Holocaust*, published by Yad Vashem.
The lecture, which was free and open to the public, was organized by the university's Department of Jewish Studies.
