Inés Tiscornia, M.Sc., deputy coordinator of the Biotechnology Laboratory, served as a speaker at the 2019 Sustainable Development Conference organized by UTE on April 24, 2019.
Tiscornia spoke about the recycling campaign that Universidad ORT Uruguay has been running Universidad ORT Uruguay May 2017, through which it recycles paper and cardboard, as well as plastic bottles. She also mentioned the various initiatives and activities that the #ORTrecicla team has carried out to raise environmental awareness among students and staff.
The goal of the event was to raise environmental awareness among the agency’s staff; to that end, they invited leading companies and institutions in the field to share their experiences and discuss the importance of sustainable development in greater depth.
