Cuadernos is now a continuously published journal

Since December 2022, *Cuadernos de Investigación Educativa* has been a continuously published journal, which means that all accepted articles are immediately posted on the website so that they can be quickly accessed and cited.

As part of the growth process of Cuadernos de Investigación Educativa, starting with Volume 14, Issue 1, the journal is published on a rolling basis. In other words, contributions are published on the journal’s website as soon as the layout and proofreading process is complete.

Articles are collected twice a year and published in a biannual issue. However, the journal accepts submissions on an ongoing basis through its online platform, and there is no fee.

Currently, the journal accepts and publishes original articles in Spanish and English that address a variety of educational contexts and levels, including:

  • Contributions based on research projects, supported by empirical evidence, that present relevant and noteworthy findings. *Cuadernos de Investigación Educativa* gives priority to this type of submission. 
  • Literature reviews that offer critical and reflective insights into developments in a specific topic.

In addition, manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process in accordance with international standards.

*Cuadernos de Investigación Educativa* is a continuously published, peer-reviewed scientific journal in Latin America that aims to foster academic debate and contribute to the dissemination of research in the field of education from a variety of theoretical and methodological perspectives. It is published digitally and is open access.

Published by the Institute of Education at Universidad ORT Uruguay, for more than 25 years it has been recognized for its commitment to high-quality, cutting-edge research, as well as for its contribution to the production of scholarly works relevant to informed debate and educational improvement.
