ORT Teacher Honored at the 51st National Visual Arts Exhibition

Prof. Gerardo Goldwasser, a faculty member in the School of Communication and Design, won one of the two grand prizes at the 51st National Visual Arts Exhibition in 2004.

The awards ceremony took place on March 25 at the National Museum of Visual Arts. The event was attended by the President of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, Dr. Jorge Batlle.

The artist received his award from the Minister of Education and Culture, Dr. Leonardo Guzmán, who stated that "Uruguay should be proud of its artists."

Prof. Gerardo Goldwasser presented three papers that are part of a line of research he has been pursuing for twenty years.

The jury consisted of Olga Larnaudie, Angel Kalenberg, and Alfredo Torres.
