Dr. Lorena Betancor, a research professor in the Department of Biotechnology at the School of Engineering, will visit the Department of Bioengineering at McGill University’s School of Engineering in Montreal, Canada, from April 26 to May 13, 2018. During her visit, she will deliver a seminar titled “Biotechnology of biomimetic silica nanoparticles: contributions from the south” and will work with the group led by Prof. Dan Nicolau, a professor in the Department of Bioengineering, with the aim of initiating a process of mutual collaboration.
Dr. Betancor will also meet with Prof. Subhasis Goshal, the thesis advisor for Mariana Umpiérrez, the assistant coordinator of the Biotechnology Laboratory, to plan joint activities to be held at Universidad ORT Uruguay.
