The professor served as chair of the doctoral thesis committee at the National Technological University

The study examines the structural properties of poplar wood from the Paraná Delta.

Dr. Laura Moya, a professor and researcher at the School of Architecture, served as chair of the doctoral thesis committee for Alfredo Guillaumet at the Concepción del Uruguay Regional Campus of the National Technological University (UTN) in Argentina.

The thesis defense, titled “Structural Behavior of Poplar Wood (Poulus Deltoides Australiano 129/60 and Stoneville 67) Grown in the Paraná River Delta,” took place on June 21, 2019.

In addition, Moya visited the facilities of the UTN School of Engineering and met with members of the Structural Wood team to discuss potential joint projects.
