Professor Joins the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime

Dr. Gonzalo Croci was invited to join the network of experts at the Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime, a highly respected organization in his field of expertise.

It is an independent civil society organization based in Geneva, Switzerland, has high-level advisory board. Its network includes leading professionals in law enforcement, governance, and development, who are dedicated to identifying new and innovative strategies and solutions to organized crime.

Croci holds a PhD in Security and Crime Science from University College London (United Kingdom); an MSc in Latin American Studies from the University of Oxford (United Kingdom); a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance (Germany); and a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Universidad ORT Uruguay, where he serves as a professor. He is a researcher at London Global University; a consultant for the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC); and a guest lecturer at the Hertie School. He received the 2022 Award for Research and Academic Production from the ORT School of Management and Social Sciences. In addition, he is a researcher at the Initiation level in the Social Sciences area, subarea Other Social Sciences, of the National System of Researchers (SNI).
