Ibero-Latin American Congress on Wood in Construction

The conference, which brings together academics and professionals in the field of structural timber, will take place in Madrid, Spain, during the week of June 10–14, 2024.

CIMAD, in its current form, was launched in 2008 in response to the need to bring together, at an international event, the latest developments in architecture, construction, and woodworking in countries with Hispanic and Portuguese roots.

Now in its third edition—following previous events held in Portugal and Argentina—the conference has established itself as the most important Iberian and Latin American event focused on wood construction.

CIMAD 2024 is presented as a transoceanic and transcontinental event, serving as an open bridge between the Americas and Europe toward profound opportunities for scientific, technological, and commercial cooperation.

Dr. Laura Moya is a professor, researcher, and academic coordinator of the Specialization Diploma in the Design, Calculation, and Construction of Wood Structures at the School of Architecture of Universidad ORT Uruguay.
