The 35mm animated short film *A pesar de todo* won three awards on September 18, 2003, at the International Film Festival of Bahia, Brazil.
This short film, directed by Walter Tournier, a professor in the School of Communication, won the Glauber Rocha Award for Best Film of the Festival. It also won Best Film in the Animation category.
As if two awards weren't enough, the filmalso won a third prize for best sound in a short film, a category overseen by Professor Leonardo Croatto, associate professor of sound at the School of Communication.
