Professor presented papers at the 14th International Congress on Heritage Rehabilitation in Italy

Since 1992, the International Center for Heritage Conservation Foundation has held this conference every two years, serving as a gathering for experts and professionals from around the world in the field of cultural heritage preservation and restoration.

Julio Pérez, a professor of Building Pathology in the Department of Architecture, presented two papers at the 14th International Congress on Heritage Rehabilitation, held in Matera, Italy, from June 18 to 20, 2018.

The articles “EE70 Housing Complex: Concepts for the Rehabilitation of an Exposed Reinforced Concrete Enclosure from the 1980s in Uruguay” and “Issues Related to the Exposure of Reinforced Concrete: An Alternative for the Rehabilitation of the Skylight in the Uruguayan Post Office (ANC) Building” were co-authored with architects Gustavo Sureda and Pedro Ruíz Díaz, instructors for Project 4 at the school, along with architects Williams Bradford and Daniel Pereyra.
