Teachers Honored at the 2021 National Literature Awards

Teachers Mercedes Estramil and Francisco Álvez Francese were honored at the 2021 National Literature Awards.

2021 National Literature Awards

Writer Mercedes Estramil, a professor in the Creative Writing Department of the School of Communication, won First Prize in the Published Fiction category for her 2019 novel *Mordida* at the 2021 National Literature Awards organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture, which were presented on December 21, 2021, at the National Museum of Visual Arts.

Another winner in this year’s edition was Francisco Álvez Francese, a professor in the Creative Writing Department, who received the 2021 Debut Work Award in the 2019 Poetry category for his collection *Los restos del naufragio*.
