Visiting professors teach courses in graduate programs

The Graduate School of Business at the School of Management and Social Sciences has welcomed several visiting faculty members in recent weeks.
  • Mariana Gattoni, Esq., taught the in-person Skills Development Workshop for the EMBA ( a blended-learning Executive MBA program) from April 17 to May 3, 2023, and the Self-Management and Professional Development module of the “
    ” Management Skills Development Program from April 25 to 28. Gattoni holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources (University of Buenos Aires/Torcuato di Tella University) and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (University of Salvador, Argentina). She works as an independent consultant. Previously, she was a senior consultant at Korn Ferry International and a senior manager of Regional Development at Philip Morris International.
  • Dr. Cesar Ciappa taught an in-person class on the course “Introduction to Big Data and Business Analytics” as part of the Specialization Diploma in Sustainable Agribusiness on April 18, 2023. Ciappa holds a PhD in Agricultural and Consumer Economics and a Master’s degree in Finance (University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign), as well as a postgraduate degree in Economics (Torcuato Di Tella Institute, Argentina). He worked in agribusiness development at Southerly Pharma. He is an independent consultant and founding partner of Komglobal.
  • Mateo Seré taught the course "Text Mining and Sentiment Analysis" as part of the Specialization Diploma in Business Analytics via online instruction from April 19 to May 22, 2023. Seré is a PhD candidate in Economics (Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium), holds a Master’s degree in Economics with a focus on econometrics (Université Libre de Bruxelles), a Master of Applied Economic Sciences in Economic Policy (Universiteit Antwerpen, Belgium), and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Universidad de la República).
  • Dr. Guillermo Carlomagno taught the course "Time Series Forecasting" as part of the Specialization Diploma in Business Analytics via online classes from May 16 to June 8, 2023. Carlomagno holds a PhD in Business Economics and Quantitative Methods (Carlos III University, Spain) and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (University of the Republic, Uruguay). He serves as a senior economist at the Central Bank of Chile (Chile).
  • Dr. María Antonia García-Benau will teach the course “Auditing: Practical and Economic Aspects” as part of the Specialization Diploma in Taxation, both in-person and online, from June 16 to 23, 2023. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Valencia. She serves as a professor in the Faculty of Economics at the University of Valencia. She previously served as Vice Rector for Academic Organization and Faculty and as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Valencia.
  • Dr. Fernando Troilo will teach the course “Research Methods and Organizational Diagnosis” for the Master’s in Human Resources Management program in both in-person and online formats from June 19 to 29, 2023. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology (Catholic University, Argentina) and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (CEMA University, Argentina). He serves as director of the graduate program in Human Resources and as a tenured professor at CEMA University. He is an associate professor at the University of Buenos Aires and the University of Belgrano.
  • Carolina Bellora will teach the MBA course "Strategic Human Capital Management" in person from June 19 to 23, and the executive program "Women Leaders" from August 28 to 31, 2023. has programme Senior Executive programme and the General Management Program at ESADE Business School Buenos Aires. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Buenos Aires. She is a Director and Human Capital Practice Leader at Tantum Strategy & Results, and a graduate-level professor of organizational design and development, change management, and strategy at Torcuato Di Tella University.
  • Sebastián Bezzo will lead the Digital Recruitment Workshop for the Master’s in Human Resources Management program virtually from June 26 to 28, 2023. has Master’s degree in Communication and Institutional Image (Walter Benjamin Foundation, Argentina) and a Specialization in Relationship Marketing (Anhembi Morumbi University, Brazil). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires. He currently serves as Sales Director for Latin America at Sprinklr. He previously served as Regional Account Manager for Latin America at LinkedIn.
  • Julia Andrle, M.A., will teach the course “Decision Analysis and Problem Solving” in person as part of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Executive MBA (EMBA) programs from June 26 to 30, 2023. has MBA from Emory University. She is the founder of the marketing consulting firm Logosphere (United States).
  • Amparo Mercader, a tax partner in PwC’s Transfer Pricing Practice based in Washington, will visit the School of Management and Social Sciences from June 26 to 30, 2023. During her visit, she will teach the course Global Trends in Taxation for the Master’s in Taxation and Accounting Standards – IFRS, theMaster’s in Taxation and International Taxation, and the Specialization Diploma in International Taxation. In addition, she will be one of the speakers at the 10th Uruguay Tax Conference on June 29.
