Just a few days before the start of the Rio Olympics, “Olímpicos,” a documentary about Uruguayan athletes co-directed by Ilan Rosenfeld, premieres.

On Tuesday, August 2, Movie Montevideo Shopping will host the premiere of *Olímpicos*, a documentary that tells the stories of Uruguayan athletes in the lead-up to the competition in Rio de Janeiro, which begins on the 5th of that month.

This is a one-time performance that will take place at 8:15 p.m.

The film was directed by Martín Natalevich and Ilan Rosenfeld, an independent filmmaker who holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the university and has made eight short films.

The task was to answer the question, “What does it mean to be an Olympian in Uruguay?”

Some of the main characters are:

  • Rodolfo Collazo, Emiliano Dumestre, and Bruno Cetraro (Rowing),
  • Pablo and Mikael Aprahamian (judo),
  • María Pía Lorenzotti (table tennis),
