The project “Collaborative Design and Post-Occupancy Evaluation of Educational Infrastructure,” presented by Dr. Paula Cardellino, a research professor at the School of Architecture at Universidad ORT Uruguay, in collaboration with Andrés Riva, representing ANEP, has been approved for funding in response to ANII’s call for partnerships with scientists and technologists from abroad.

The purpose of this call for applications is to strengthen the capabilities of the country’s qualified human resources through interaction with experienced scientists and technologists living abroad, thereby contributing to the generation of new scientific and technological knowledge.

The project was presented in collaboration with ANEP, as the proposing institution, and Universidad ORT Uruguay, as the participating institution. The main objective of the initiative is to invite Dr. Pamela Woolner, a professor at Newcastle University, who will visit Uruguay for seven days.

Given her extensive experience in this field, the collaboration with the visiting professor aims to forge a link between ANEP, Uruguay, and the cutting edge of learning space design and use, with a special focus on participatory design and post-occupancy evaluation.

These opportunities for exchange will not only influence future decisions regarding infrastructure design at ANEP, aligning them with educational transformation, but will also have a significant impact on the theoretical thinking currently being developed at Universidad ORT Uruguay its research on this topic.
