Dr. Paula Cardellino participated in the 2024 Araucanía International Summit on Sustainable Cities in Chile

Organized by the Autonomous University of Chile, this prominent event featured a program of 14 keynote speeches, more than 200 internationally renowned guests, two panel discussions, and an innovation fair with over 30 booths.

The event, which featured experts from countries such as Japan, Colombia, Uruguay, and Chile, took place on April 23 and 24, 2024, at the Temuco Campus of the Autonomous University of Chile, with the aim of fostering dialogue on urban development, climate change, and the challenges facing the construction industry.

In this context, the Dr. Paula Cardellino, a professor and researcher at the School of Architecture at Universidad ORT Uruguay, presented her paper “Building the Future: Civic Innovation, Educational Transformation, and the Role of Architecture.”

In his presentation, he emphasized the importance of educational institutions, noting that they play a very important role in academic education. In this regard, Dr. Cardellino stated:

An educational building must serve an educational purpose; hence the need for it to be sustainable, as this will create a more welcoming learning environment.
