His professional background, knowledge of university administration, and experience in key areas of the university are qualifications that make him well-suited for the position and position him to lead a new era of innovation and the pursuit of educational excellence.

A career dedicated to innovation and education

Hipogrosso's career at Universidad ORT Uruguay, spanning more than 30 years, reflects his dedication and focus on innovation and the use of technology to continuously improve education.

Since joining the institution, he has demonstrated an ability to adapt and a commitment that reflect his dedication to and passion for education.

He began his career as a teacher in the 1980s and eventually rose to the position of academic secretary for the technical computer science programs.

His entrepreneurial spirit led him to develop the first courses in computer graphics, culminating in the country's first degree program in graphic design.

Leadership in Academic Expansion

In 1992, he was appointed dean of a new school, which laid the groundwork for what would become the School of Communication and Design two years later.

From that time until now, he has demonstrated a particular ability to build and lead academic teams, having launched more than 50 degree programs at various levels (vocational, undergraduate, and graduate) across the faculty’s different departments.

Impact and Future Challenges

His role in establishing the School of Communication and Design was instrumental in ORT’s accreditation as a university, marking a milestone in the institution’s history.

During his tenure as dean, Hipogrosso fostered creativity and innovation within the creative industries themselves, developing new educational programs that meet the demands of the modern world.

These responsibilities and experiences have deepened his understanding of the needs that will help him tackle the challenges of his new role, where his leadership will be key to integrating and optimizing educational and administrative processes at the university.

The appointment of Hipogrosso as Vice President for Institutional Management and Development, as well as the creation of the Office of the Vice President for Administration and the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, represent a strategic step in the reorganization and expansion of Universidad ORT Uruguay looks ahead to the coming decade.
