On August 29, 2019, the Ministry of Education and Culture, together with the National Cultural Heritage Commission, designated the Dr. Adela Reta National Auditorium of the Sodre as a Historic Monument of Uruguay, ten years after its inauguration.

The academic coordinator of the architecture program at Universidad ORT Uruguay, Architect Jorge Di Pólito, is one of the architects behind the building’s design, along with Architects Isidoro Singer, Diego Magnone, and Juan Carlos Vanini.

Our university is particularly pleased to see the auditorium being showcased, given the special connection it has with this cultural space, where it holds its graduation ceremonies every semester.

The building has capacity of over 2,000 spectators and is equipped with the technical and infrastructure capabilities necessary to host large-scale, highly complex performances.
