On August 16, the three finalists of the first edition of the ORT School of Business and Social Sciences Business Challenge were announced.
The finalists are:
- 4W: an online app that can be used on a mobile phone or computer, whose main goal is to reduce the amount of food wasted each day or ensure that it is consumed.
- ECOBRICKS: eco-friendly bricks made from crushed PET plastic, cement, and water.
- SOLARGAPS: Venetian/American blinds with built-in photovoltaic cells that generate electricity from the sun.
The goal of the Business Challenge is to test the business and decision-making skills of high school students by presenting them with a problem posed by the faculty for them to solve.
The winning team will receive a 50% scholarship, allowing each member to pursue any degree program in the School of Business and Social Sciences. The winner will be announced on August 19.
