Contact with the Association of Accountants was made through the group’s advisor, Santiago Arreche, who also serves as a consultant for the CCEAU. During the consulting sessions, the association identified a need to update its technological resources, and that is how the idea to develop the app came about. Arreche, in consultation with the Association’s leadership, presented the project to his Programming Analyst students, and two of them—Nicolás Muniz and Matías González—were ultimately tasked with carrying it out.
Silvia Leal, Secretary of the CCEAU Board of Directors, expressed the institution’s strong approval of the app and stated that it has proven to be “a valuable tool in our day-to-day work, one that facilitates access to information and allows us to bring the Association closer to all professionals in the field of economics.”
In this regard, he added: “The app is user-friendly, in line with our vision, and its clearly organized sections make it easy to navigate through all its content. Thanks to this app, we can say that the CCEAU is just a click away.”
The tool was launched on May 22, 2019, at the association’s headquarters. Associate Professor Víctor Paulós, academic secretary of the School of Engineering, attended the presentation on behalf of ORT.
