That evening, Mr. Costa delivered a lecture titled "The Corporate Communications Director in 21st-Century Business Management" in the Auditorium of the School of Communication and Design. The speaker defined the role of the Corporate Communications Director in business management in light of current demands. The event was aimed at students and graduates of the School of Communication and Design.
Joan Costa is a communication specialist, designer, sociologist, and researcher in visual communication. He heads the image and communication consultancy CIAC International, with offices in Madrid, Barcelona, and Buenos Aires, dedicated to the design and implementation of global corporate identity and image programs. He has directed more than 300 programs in Communication, Image, and Corporate Identity for companies and institutions in various countries across Europe and Latin America.
He is a Professor of Design and Visual Communication at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Puebla, Mexico, and serves as International Director of Design at the University of Art, Science, and Communication (UNIACC) in Chile.
He is the author of more than two dozen books and hundreds of articles on visual communication, design, and communication published in various countries.
He is the creator and editor of the world's first Encyclopedia of Design (Ediciones Ceac, Barcelona) and an advisor to the International Library of Communication (Editorial Trillas, Mexico).
His books include *The Image and Psycho-Visual Impact*, *Visual Identity*, *Corporate Image*, *Methods of Integrated Communication*, *The Language of Photography*, *Communication in Action*, and *Corporate Image in the 21st Century*.
