February 28, 2023
The Nanogrow startup, founded by biotechnology professor Lucía Vanrell, associate academic coordinator of biotechnology Mariana Ferrari, and project partner Nicolás Galmarini, and supported by CBI+I, was selected as one of the 100 finalists in the Global Entrepreneurship World Cup organized by the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN).

Nanogrow is a platform for the development of biological therapies based on nanoantibodies for the human and veterinary pharmaceutical industries, with an initial focus on the treatment of skin conditions such as psoriasis, melanoma, and atopic dermatitis, among others.

In its previous edition, the World Entrepreneurship Cup supported more than 300,000 entrepreneurs in 200 countries. In this edition, Nanogrow is representing Uruguay among the top 100 finalists from 53 countries. From March 9 to 12, one of its partners will travel to Saudi Arabia on an all-expenses-paid trip to advance in the global competition.
