Founded by Ramiro Sosa and Manuel Navarrete, electronics engineering students, along with Luis Porras, a telecommunications engineering student, Ganader IA was the only startup selected by Uruguay to participate in the global round of the competition, which will take place from February 26 to 29, 2024, in Barcelona.
In its ongoing quest for technological solutions, Ganader AI has introduced a system that uses drones equipped with image capture and data processing technology to collect key information about livestock in agricultural settings.
This allows livestock producers to access accurate, up-to-date data on their animals' weight via a mobile app.
The proposal not only helps producers make informed decisions, but also significantly reduces the associated costs and the need for labor when weighing cows.
This leads to greater profitability for producers, marking an improvement in livestock production efficiency.
