The V2 Pitch Competition is an event that the University of San Diego has been hosting since 2011 as one of its primary initiatives to promote entrepreneurship. The main event is a day during which participants showcase their startups at the Venture Fair, and the finalists have the opportunity to present their pitch deck in front of angel investors.

In February 2019, Universidad ORT Uruguay the University of San Diego organized the first regional pitch competition, which brought together investors, entrepreneurs, graduates, and academic representatives from Latin America’s leading business schools in innovation and entrepreneurship. In fact, it was the first event organized by the Spring Network, a network comprising business schools recognized for their focus on innovation and entrepreneurship. This network includes the University of San Andrés (Argentina), the University of Development (Chile), ESPAE Graduate School of Management–ESPOL (Ecuador), ESAN Business School (Peru), and Universidad ORT Uruguay.

Along with Skyclope (Chile), Boki secured a spot to participate in the international track of the V2 Pitch in San Diego, United States, on April 25, 2019. Both emerged as winners, taking first and third place, respectively. Second place went to Aliquam, from Mexico.
