During the event, which took place on Tuesday, September 24, at the Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill, the graduates had the opportunity to speak with the university rector the challenges and opportunities they face in their fields of work and study, as well as the importance of their university education for their international success.
Dr. Grünberg highlighted the graduates' commitment to professional development and their role as ambassadors for the university abroad.
“It was very gratifying to discover that, in the context of their current professional careers, they hold the university education they received at ORT in very high regard,” said the rector.
The graduates particularly highlighted the value of the international exchange programs they participated in during their studies, an experience that, as they noted, changed their outlook on their future careers.
Significance of the recent agreement
One of the topics that generated the most interest was the recent agreement between the United Kingdom and Uruguay, which took effect this year.
The Youth Mobility Scheme allows young people between the ages of 18 and 30 from both countries to live and work in the other country for up to two years, without the need for an employer sponsor.
With 500 spots available each year, this is a great opportunity for graduates looking to gain international experience and advance their careers.
In addition to working, participants can travel, take short courses, or do volunteer work, which promotes cultural exchange and professional development.
