The ceremony took place in the Anacahuita Room of the Torre de los Profesionales.
The dean of the School of Engineering, Mario Fernández Cítera, welcomed the more than 300 attendees.
All 72 graduates were in attendance.
- Twelfth-year Systems Engineering student.
- Telecommunications Engineering.
- Fifty students from the Bachelor's Program in Systems.
Also in attendance were family members and friends of the graduates, officials from Universidad ORT Uruguay faculty members from the School of Engineering.
Juan Pedro Silva, who is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Telematics at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), spoke on behalf of the telecommunications engineering graduates.
In addition, Cecilia Belletti, who recently began the joint Ph.D. program in Computer Engineering offered by the UPM and Universidad ORT Uruguay, spoke on behalf of the systems engineers.
Finally, Patricia García represented the graduates with degrees in Information Systems.
The closing ceremony was attended by the president of the Uruguayan Association of Engineers, Eduardo Álvarez Mazza, and the president of the National Academy of Engineering, Álvaro Cutinella.
