The awards ceremony for the "A Showroom in My Style" contest took place on Wednesday, June 17, 2021. The team consisting of Mayte Majfud and Camila Garagorri, students in the Bachelor of Interior Design program, won first prize.
The purpose of the competition was to bring together emerging talent from the architecture and interior design programs at Universidad ORT Uruguay to design and build a commercial showroom for Campiglia Pilay.
The jury consisted of María Paula Ferreira, commercial manager at Campiglia Pilay; Paula Ceretti, M.A., assistant coordinator of the Interior Design Universidad ORT Uruguay at Universidad ORT Uruguay Andrés Buencristiano, B.A., president of the Association of Professional Interior Designers (Addip) and professor in the Interior Design program at Universidad ORT Uruguay.
The winning proposal is titled “Proyecto Arje,” which, in one of its meanings, refers to a starting point or beginning. In this way, the project aims to create a new starting point for users, where they encounter units designed to create a perfect fit.
