ORT Blanco was crowned champion of the Fladen Handball Championship, held on August 30 at the Elbio Fernández Sports Complex. In the final, the team defeatedLa Mennais Celeste 6–3.
Another Victory in the Fladen Championship
The title marks another achievement for ORT Blanco in the Fladen Championship. In the tournament held on June 7, the team had also reached the final after defeating Diablas and Canelón Chico.
Mariana Fleitas, the team's technical director, highlighted the group's progress:
The team is really great and close-knit, and they've been making remarkable progress in their team play.
The competition also featured Mise, Fusión, La Mennais C, Diablas, and Santo Domingo.
An award within the championship
In addition to the team’s achievement, Florencia Parodi received the Championship’s Correcaminos Award, one of the honors presented during the competition.
The ORT Blanco roster consisted of Avril Estefan, Agustina Cornelius, Paulina Sfeir, Constanza Crosa, Daiana Miorelli, Julieta Barros, Florencia Britos, Florencia Link, Florencia Parodi, and Erika Cámara.
