Mathías Pensatori, a graduate of the Marketing Analyst program at Universidad ORT Uruguay has just completed a Master’s in Marketing and Sales Management at EUDE Business School, talks about this experience.
What academic or professional activities did you engage in while in Spain?
I am currently based in Montevideo, where I work as a sales executive at Multicontainer, but I earned my Master’s degree in Marketing and Sales Management in Madrid, Spain, at EUDE Business School, and spent that entire year working as a real estate consultant at Tecnocasa, Spain’s leading real estate agency.
How do you feel ORT prepared you for these challenges?
Academically, I felt I was very well prepared to tackle any challenge. I had classmates who had worked at places like Coca-Cola, who ran their own businesses, or who had studied fields similar to mine, and I always felt I was on the same academic level as all of them.
What kind of experience did your classmates have?
The highlight of the graduate program was the wide range of experiences we had in class. Because one of the key reasons I went abroad—beyond the academic learning—was to learn how to analyze the market in different countries.
What countries were your classmates from?
The group included students from 17 different countries. Most were from Latin America—for example, Colombia or Mexico—but there were also many Spaniards.
What advice would you give to students who are starting the Marketing Analyst program at ORT?
Make the most of your studies. Being away from campus, I realized the high academic standards achieved at ORT. And the best way to learn is to ask questions without hesitation and make the most of the presentations you give in front of the class, since anyone studying this program will have to give presentations to a group once they start working. In that regard, I noticed a key difference in Madrid.
