ORT student wins award for animated short film

Víctor Escardó, a student in the Digital Animation Technician program, won an award at the La Pedrera Short Film Festival for his short film *The Catfish and the Devil*.

"The Catfish and the Devil " won the award for Best Animation at the film festival held on January 5, 2004, at the Hostería Brisas del Plata in La Pedrera, Rocha.

In addition, a short film made by an ORT student and another by a teacher were recognized at the La Pedrera Short Film Festival.

A Brief Story of How a Man and a Woman Met and Fell in Love, by Carlos Morelli, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication, received an honorable mention for its choreography, created by Carolina Besuievsky.

For her part, Inés Olmedo, a professor in the Bachelor’s Program in Audiovisual Communication, was nominated for her work on the short film La Cumparsita by Rosario Infantozzi.
