Student Wins Tampere University Innovation Competition Alongside Chinese and Finnish Colleagues

At the event, 20 major Finnish companies presented their day-to-day operational challenges to 500 international university students.

Marcel Kemper, an undergraduate economics student and instructor in the Department of Economics at the School of Management and Social Sciences, who is currently spending a semester abroad at Tampere University (Finland), won the InnoEvent Tampere 2019—“The innovation festival for fun collaboration”—along with his team.

Kemper's group, which also included one Chinese student and two Finnish students, won first place for their consulting project for UPM (Raflatac). The event took place from November 4 to 8, 2019.
