Advanced students in graphic, industrial, and fashion design are participating in the "Recreación 10" project

September 1, 2009
Recreación begins in September; it is an academic program that produces professional-level work, aimed at bridging the gap between design and industry, with senior students from the Bachelor’s programs in Graphic, Industrial, and Fashion Design serving as solution providers.

Companies, entrepreneurs, and investors had until August 31 to submit ideas that could potentially be turned into products or services.

Once the submission period has closed, an academic design committee from Universidad ORT Uruguay, together with students working on their final-year integrative projects, will select those ideas that—due to their relevance and feasibility—will be developed between September 2009 and February 2010.

This initiative promotes, starting at the undergraduate level, the necessary mechanisms to evaluate a range of strategic design proposals.

Based on the analysis of value chains, each student defines their design actions within the context of the subject matter, transformation, communication, and consumption.
