Visit to UES - October 2025

On October 28, students enrolled in the "E-commerce and Digital Services" course—who are in their sixth semester of the Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Business Management—visited the UES logistics center, located on Route 101.

During the tour, participants were shown the various areas of the facility involved in the fulfillment process—the series of steps that enable an order to be completed, from the moment the customer places it until they receive the product.

They were joined on the visit by Valentina Calabia, Customer Experience Manager at UES, and Lucía Benítez, the company’s Marketing Coordinator.

The course instructor, Adrián Meneses, noted that his students “left feeling very enthusiastic,” since“the experience helped them understand the logistical aspects of e-commerce and the operational challenges involved in providing efficient service in the current Uruguayan market.”

The visit was extremely enriching and provided a practical complement to the material we've been covering in class.

On UES’s LinkedIn page, they noted: “The visit was an opportunity to share how we operate our fulfillment, distribution, and last-mile network, and how technological innovation drives efficiency at every stage of the logistics process.”
