Euromodelo is a European Union initiative implemented by Universidad ORT Uruguay, with support from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the College of Europe, aimed at university students from across the country. The program aims to train participants—who will be the future leaders and decision-makers—to express their ideas in an open environment, debate them, and negotiate in order to reach agreements. It also aims to raise awareness of the fundamental values and principles of the European Union, promote dialogue, and strengthen commitment to civil society, democracy, and the rule of law.
On Thursday, September 21, the sessions were held at the Ibis Hotel, and on Friday, September 22, they took place in the Chamber of Representatives hall at the Legislative Palace. The closing remarks were delivered by Ambassador Paolo Berizzi, the European Union’s ambassador to Uruguay.
