The project, called "Chemical Garden," was created by five students from ORT Israel and was one of six selected by NASA from among the many submissions received from young people around the world.
Astronaut Colonel Ilan Ramon will be in charge of conducting the experiment proposed by the students.
The young scientists visited NASA's launch site and will return there on the day of the rocket's launch, while their colleagues will monitor the mission from Israel.
