Expo LearningIn accordance with the provisions of its website, its goal is “to promote knowledge, innovation, and cooperation.” It also aims to “provide a meeting place for companies, professionals, and organizations” involved in the education sector.

The event will bring together international and national speakers. Among them are Verónica Zorilla de San Martín—who holds a master’s degree in education and is a professor at the Institute of Education in the field of educational technology—and John Moravec—a visiting professor at the Institute of Education at Universidad ORT Uruguay.

Both will participate in the panel discussion titled “The Future of Education,” and their talk is titled “Can You Imagine a Positive Future for Education with ICT in Uruguay? The Voices of the Stakeholders.”

There, they will present on the project “What Now? ICT in Primary Education: Can We Build Collective Capacity?”, which was developed in response to the call for proposals from the “Digital Inclusion: Education with New Horizons” Sectoral Fund.

The event will take place on October 5, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the Idea Vilariño Room at the Antel Communications Tower. Admission is free with prior registration, but space is limited.
