The event, organized by the Ministry of the Environment, aimed to promote environmental awareness and foster participatory processes that encourage inclusive citizen engagement in actions and procedures designed to ensure sustainable development.
At the ORT booth, visitors could find an interactive exhibit created in collaboration with the School of Design and the Environmental Management Department, which was built using discarded materials.
In addition, information was provided on the initiatives undertaken by Universidad ORT Uruguay responsible consumption and material recycling.
Mention was also made of the university’s inclusion in the impact ranking, which measures universities’ performance in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), established by the United Nations (UN) as a plan to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.
